Don’t get caught up in the question
‘What is the meaning of life?’
We play ourselves up one side of the mountain and then down again.
We play ourselves like notes propagating harmonic structures.
The unhappy solo of a parping forghorn
Forever bouncing a ball of thoughts
Against their own prison wall.
These wheels of life are resonant.
We play ourselves
We orchestrate
We are life
We are music.
That old chestnut will never let you see the tree
The root of all meaning is yours and therefore me
Don’t get caught up in the question
‘What is the meaning of life?’
It’s really more of a punchline.
